Core drills

A core drill is essential for accurately drilling holes in various materials, ranging from concrete and reinforced concrete to masonry and calcium silicate bricks. At B+BTec, we have built a reputation with our Karat® series, high-quality core drills that meet the demands of the most discerning professionals. From residential construction to large-scale utility projects, core drills are invaluable worldwide for accurate and efficient working methods. View below to find the core drill that best suits your drilling project.

Een kernboormachine is een boormachine die een holle, buisvormige snijmaat wordt gebruikt om kernen of cilinders van materiaal te verwijderen, waardoor een gat ontstaat dat niet door het midden gaat.

A core drill, also known as a diamond drill or concrete drill, is a specialist piece of equipment that allows you to drill precise circular holes in extremely hard materials such as concrete, reinforced concrete, stone or asphalt. Core drills are often used in installation work, for example, when creating conduits for gas pipes, electricity or ventilation.

The unique aspect of a core drill is its drilling technique. Instead of completely pulverising the material, as with a twist drill for example, a core drill bores around the hole and leaves the central section, the so-called drill core, intact. This results in smooth, neat holes without excessive stress on the material. Thanks to this technique, core drilling is ideally suited for use in construction projects, technical installations, and renovations where precision is required.

What makes B+BTec core drills so special?

Our Karat® core drills are developed for maximum performance and reliability. They feature powerful drilling motors and a robust 3-speed gearbox, allowing them to drill through various materials with ease. Whether it's high-strength concrete, heavily reinforced concrete, or other construction materials, our core drills deliver professional results under all conditions.

Flexible drilling for every application

Flexibility is essential on the construction site. Within our range of Karat® core drills, there are options for both wet and/or dry drilling. Whether you are working in sand-lime brick, concrete, masonry, or brick, our core drills will effortlessly power through.

Suitable for intensive daily use

At B+BTec, quality is paramount. Our core drilling machines are supplied as standard with powerful 2400W or 3200W drilling motors and advanced electronics with LEDs and pulse motor protection. For optimal safety, they are equipped with both an electronic and mechanical slip clutch. This combination makes our core drilling machines suitable for intensive daily use, with minimal downtime and maximum protection for the user and the machine.

Versatile, with or without a drill stand

Our Karat® core drills are suitable for both manual applications and use in combination with a professional drill stand. Drilling with a stand offers optimal precision for larger drill diameters or deeper holes. Thanks to the modular design, you can easily switch between configurations, ensuring you always work with the correct setup.

What do MG and BG mean?

MG stands for Midgrip and BG for Backgrip. This indicates the location of the handle on the machine.

Expand with smart modules and accessories

With the right accessory, you can get more out of your core drill. At B+BTec, it's not just about the core drill itself. We also offer a range of accessories such as diamond drills for your core drill. With simple exchange of drill motors, drill stands and accessories, you can switch between different tasks and materials quickly and efficiently. This not only increases your productivity, but also ensures you have the right equipment for the job.
