Injection mortar (chemical anchor) for strong and reliable anchoring

Injection mortar (also known as Chemical anchor of grout for anchor rodsis the solution when you very strong confirmation that you need in concrete or masonry, *without* expansion pressure on the base material. This makes it ideal for both heavy structural applications and situations where you need to work close to edges or with limited centre-to-centre distances.

An injection system operates with two components which are mixed in mixing nozzles and then injected into the borehole. You then screw in an anchor rod, threaded rod or rebar – creating a powerful bond.

What injection mortar do you need?

Within the range of injection mortars, you'll find different resin types, each with its own application area:

  • Polyester injection mortar – a practical and affordable choice for standard fixings and medium loads (e.g. in masonry and in many cases also concrete, depending on type/approval).

  • Vinyl ester injection mortar – for heavier loads and versatile use in concrete (also for heavier requirements).

  • Hybrid injection mortar – suitable for heavy loads and often chosen when you want to work through smoothly (faster curing, depending on variant/temperature).

  • Pure epoxy injection mortar – for the most demanding situations where maximum performance is required.

Are you working in cracked concrete or met seismic loadingThen choose a mortar with the right ETA/approval class for your application.

Borehole preparation: determining the final strength

The ultimate tensile strength depends on the borehole preparation. That's why at B+BTec you'll also find all the tools to do it right:

  • sleeves, extensions and nozzles

  • dispensers/patroonhouders

  • steel brushes, blow-out pumps and (where necessary) Nozzle sleeves for hollow brick

  • Tools for specific boreholes (e.g. diamond drilled holes)

Need help choosing the right mortar?

Unsure if you need polyester, vinylester, hybrid, or epoxy – or which ETA requirement applies to your project? Choose your substrate (concrete/stone), load, thread diameter and hole conditions, and then select the appropriate injection mortar and accessories.
