DRILLING + ANCHORING TECHNOLOGY WITH A BIG PLUS!
The Situation
Modern tram stops and new tram tracks, pylons and overhead wires will be constructed on and around the new station island in front of Amsterdam Central. Work started in 2019.
For anchoring the new tram rails, B+BTec, in addition to the special GVB Glass Capsule Anchors, has developed a derivative of the Tried-and-tested VDP anchors, as well as the anchor rods and HiSpeed Diamond Core Drills Delivered for drilling of the anchor holes.

The Project
The required points, crossings, track sections – both straight and curved – and the
rail fastening systems were supplied by B+BTec Project Partner Alom Railway Engineering & Supply.
The drilling work for this project was carried out by Ken Phelan Betonboringen. They had the opportunity to put B+BTec's newly-introduced Karat® 180 through its paces.
