Wire Saw Central Station Amsterdam, (NL)
In preparation of the construction of the stairway leading into the center of the Amsterdam Central Station Main Hall, a large 8 x 3 mtr opening was cut in the wall of metro hub below with surgical precision.
The project
Not an easy job, considering no heavy equipment could be used at said location and the work had to be done virtually noise and vibration free.
It was decided to create the opening by cutting away multiple concrete blocks using the B+BTec CS17-E Wire Cutting System.
