Over the past 25 years B+BTec has built up a lot of experience in the design & manufacturing of specialty anchoring systems for rail projects worldwide.

Typically these Rail Anchors are designed in close cooperation with Local Governmental and Railway Authorities. The local conditions as well as the regulations differ from country to country and consequently the designs also vary.

SAFETY & RELIABILITY

The B+BTec Rail Anchoring Systems are tested both in our own test facilitiy, which is certified by the Japanese J.C.A.A. as well as numerous independent institutions worldwide.

APPLICATIONS

In Holland's major cities: Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam B+BTec Rail Anchoring Systems have been used for over 25 years. The baseplates that keep the rails in place on the concrete are mounted with tailormade anchors, as each organization has its own system.

For electrically insulated applications, B+BTec has a KEMA tested solution that uses special nylon caps and washers.

RET Rotterdam is using a special alloy in stainless steel with an extra high yield strenght that can be compared with a steel grade 10.9. This kind of anchor is used for all lightrail projects and subways. The size of this anchoring system normally is M 27. Traditional tram systems use carbon steel 5.8 in M 20. Both systems are installed with our SAS™ Glass Capsule Anchors.

HTM The Hague doesn't have a subway, but for their tram systems they use carbon steel 5.8 in M 24 in combination with SAS™ Glass Capsule Anchors.

GVB Amsterdam uses carbon steel 5.8 in M 20 anchors for their tram systems. On special locations such as turnouts and switches they use special lenghts to achieve a better load on the baseplates. In all other cases the standard length M 20 is used. All sizes are used together with SAS™ Glass Capsule Anchors.
