BIS-RAIL Anchor

BIS-RAIL is an Anchoring System for the Replacement of Metro Rail Fastenings

The BIS-Rail Metro Rail Renovation System was developed for the Amsterdam Municipal Transportation Company (GVB) for the replacement of damaged rail anchors.

After removal of the damaged anchor bolt, the remaining anchor sleeve is drilled out using a special core bit equipped with a milling head to grind away the top collar of the sleeve, upon which the remainder of the sleeve is drilled out. The wall of the diamond drilled hole is roughened using the B+BTec Shark roughening tool.

A new anchor sleeve is installed using BIS-RAIL, a rapid cure, styrene free, non-sag, Vinylester based Injection Adhesive.
